02What LifeCheck does
LifeCheck helps users understand habits, build healthier routines, and follow a personalized wellness learning path based on daily check-ins, wearable data, and Apple Health insights.
LifeCheck is for wellness education, habit tracking, and self-improvement. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, prevention, emergency care, or a substitute for a licensed clinician.
03Data we may collect
The data we process depends on how you use the app, what permissions you grant, and which integrations or subscription platforms you connect.
- Account data: email, hashed password, name, gender, age, profile image, tutorial completion, and verification status.
- Authentication data: email verification state, password reset tokens, access tokens, and Google or Apple social login provider IDs.
- Survey and wellness data: onboarding answers, selected categories, mood, sleep, stress, activity, lesson progress, daily averages, manual metrics, and metric history.
- Apple Health and WHOOP data: health and wellness metrics, sleep, recovery, stress, workout or activity data, cycle data, body measurements, scores, OAuth data, and raw integration payloads.
- AI personalization and progress data: course-generation inputs, lesson context, health and wellness estimate inputs, courses, lessons, quiz answers, quiz results, completion status, cooldowns, and achievements.
- Device, notification, subscription, and diagnostic data: device ID, OS, push token, app version, subscription plan and transaction data, notification payloads, client errors, crashes, stack traces, request or response metadata, and public review content.
04How we use data
We use data to operate accounts, personalize onboarding, generate wellness courses and lessons, provide daily surveys, track progress, validate quizzes, sync integrations, show charts, deliver notifications, verify subscriptions, improve reliability, and respond to support or privacy requests.
We may use AI services to personalize courses, generate lessons and lesson images, translate content, and provide informational wellness estimates. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for some users.
05Third-party services
LifeCheck may use service providers for AI processing, cloud hosting, storage, email delivery, push notifications, app diagnostics, social login, subscriptions, and wearable or health data sync.
- AI providers, including OpenAI or configured AI services, for personalized courses, lessons, images, translation, and wellness insights.
- WHOOP and Apple Health for connected wellness metrics.
- Apple and Google for social login and subscriptions through Apple App Store and Google Play.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, cloud storage such as AWS S3 for media, and email delivery providers for verification, password reset, and account emails.
06Health and safety
Wellness data, wearable data, and Apple Health data can be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. AI-generated suggestions and estimates are informational only and should not be treated as medical risk assessments.
Do not delay or disregard professional medical advice because of LifeCheck content. Consult qualified healthcare professionals before making medical, diet, exercise, sleep, or treatment decisions.
07Subscriptions
Subscription data may include plan type, monthly or yearly status, provider, transaction or order IDs, subscription start and end dates, receipts, and store server notifications.
We use subscription data to provide paid access, verify active plans, detect expired plans, process promotional plans, and support billing-related requests. Apple and Google process billing under their own policies and platform rules.
08Retention, deletion, and security
We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide LifeCheck, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce terms, prevent fraud, maintain security, and keep required records.
You may request deletion using the data removal page or by contacting the privacy email. We may verify ownership before processing and may retain limited records where required by law, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate record-keeping obligations.
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the data we process, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
09Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. For users in the EEA, UK, or similar jurisdictions, processing may rely on consent, contract necessity, legitimate interests, or legal obligations.
